Hair Band Holder using Toilet Paper Roll

This Hair Band Holder is a simple and inexpensive solution for holding the hair bands of all types. so that, you no more waste your valuable time in searching of hair band  that matches your outfit.

While going out for shopping or party etc., I like to keep simple but colorful  hair band that matches to my outfit, but every time after a long search in the dressing table, I used to keep some other color hair bands.  I know this happens with almost all the girls. So, to solve this problem I thought to make a Hair band holder that makes our searching easy. With this organizing idea you can take hair band of your choice in no time.

As no expensive items are used in making, this is the perfect and inexpensive solution that can be done very easily and quickly.

You need:

  1. Toilet paper roll( empty one)
  2. Card Board piece
  3. Construction sheets or Duct Tape
  4. Glue
  5. Scissors

Procedure:

  • Take an empty toilet paper roll, wrap it using construction paper leaving some extra paper at both the sides of the roll and seal the edges of paper using glue. Then fold this extra paper inside the roll.

  • Take a CD or any round shaped object like bowl (invert the bowl) and draw a circle using it on the card board. Similarly take the toilet paper roll as base and draw a small circle. Now we have two circle shaped card board pieces, one is of big size and other one is small.

  • Cover these card board pieces with contrast color paper. For making this, draw two circles on the paper, one is slightly bigger and other is slightly smaller than the circular card board pieces and cut the sheets accordingly. Glue the card board piece on this sheet which is slightly big and using scissor slightly make small cuts on it so that after folding the edges of circle shape will be perfect without any unwanted folds and then glue it on to the card board piece, now glue the smaller sheet over this.

  • Glue the wrapped toilet paper roll at the center of the circular card board piece of big size and allow it to dry for a while. Then close the opening of the paper roll using circular card board piece of small size. Seal it using glue and allow it to dry completely.

  • Decorate it with some designs drawn by sketch pens or to look more elegant you can also decorate it with kundans or beads etc.
  • I want to make mine as water proof so, I covered it with duct tape. Now your hair bands will stay at one place instead of roaming here and there. Happy to see all at one place......
