Happy Republic Day to all..............
This day is very significant in Indian history as on this day India became Republic from the British Dominion. Every year this day is celebrated with much enthusiasm throughout India. A massive parade takes place in the national capital New Delhi, at the Rajpath before the president who unfurls the National Flag. The parade starts from Rashtrapati Bhavan to the India Gate and ends at the historic Red Fort. Celebrations are also held in state capitals where the Governor of the state unfurls the National Flag.
when we were in schooling, on this day our principal used to unfurl the National Flag followed by a parade. We used to give greeting cards to our teachers wishing "Happy Republic day ".
Materials Required:
- Plain papers - saffron, white and green colors
- Pencil
- Sketch pens - saffron, green and blue colors
- Glue
- Round Bangle
- Scissors
Procedure:
- Take a A4 sheet, fold and cut it to make as a square(skip this step if you are using a square sheet).
- Fold this square sheet once, you now have two pieces. Fold it twice, it's like taking each of those two pieces and doubling them, and now you have four, like the image as shown below. Repeat the same in opposite direction of the square so that we get small square shapes on the paper.
- Cut the small square pieces accordingly for both saffron and green color sheets.
- To make flowers(with 5 petals) out of these paper pieces, use the technique as shown below. Now you will get beautiful flowers of both colors.
- Instead of 5 petal flowers, you can also make flowers with 4 petals as shown.
- Take a plain white color A4 sheet and fold it into half(breadth wise) to make as a greeting card. Draw two slanting lines(top and bottom) on it and carefully glue all the flowers with in the lines.
- For Ashoka chakra, draw a circle in the middle of the two slanting lines using a bangle and draw 24 lines called "spokes" as shown below.
